Kim Gatto is a versatile Art Director, Designer, and Illustrator with extensive experience in children’s book illustration, paper engineering for novelty books, and design across party, giftware, surface, and home décor products. She has collaborated with many of the top book publishers and manufacturers, bringing her creative vision to packaging, branding, and product design.
In addition to her professional work, Kim shares her expertise by teaching Character Design, Storytelling, and other unique workshops near Roxbury Township, New Jersey. Kim also creates large-scale boards for themed holiday events in local towns. These boards—some as tall as 7 feet—are painted on wood using acrylics and, at times, glow-in-the-dark or black light paints. Each piece of art is her original creation unless incorporating licensed characters. Kim lives in Roxbury Township, New Jersey with her husband, Michael, their two creative children, Derek and Aimee, and their mischievous crazy cats, Milo, Misty, Sebastian and Sherman—who all inspire her work in their own ways. When she’s not creating, she enjoys spending quality time with her family. |
