Concepts of Character Design Workshop

Here is a few (or more) character design samples from the kids at my "Concepts of Character Design workshop". What an amazing group of kids from grades 3-8. This 2 day workshop explored different types of characters using techniques incorporating shapes, silhouettes and household products to create characters. Students practiced drawing facial expressions, body types, clothing, accessories, pets and environments for their characters. We also touched on the importance of character names and they created a couple each. Can't wait for my next workshop: Holiday card illustrating and crafting for grades 4-8.
